Miret

Our problem with Miret’s Boljar brothers was that there wasn’t much to dislike about them from the very first encounter.

As investors, we always try to find the devil’s advocate side but this time it was hard to come up with one. Just the right combination of a silent engineer-type character like the one found in Hrvoje, alongside his outspoken brother Domagoj, who can convince anybody and everybody in his vision of a greener planet, these guys are changing the World one pair of sneakers at a time. We knew the footwear industry was harmful to the environment even before we met them, we just didn’t realize just how toxic the extent of it was.

With its lowest possible impact on the environment, Miret’s products are sustainable yet also as the company is not making compromise when it comes to design or customer comfort, we feel that all the parts are here to make a great business out of it. The brothers themselves have seen failure before and have learned a lot from it so even though they’re young, they do things as seasoned professionals would. In the end, there’s simply still not much to dislike about the Boljars and Miret.
