GlycanAge has a team of 50 researchers behind them in Genos, the world-leading laboratory in the field of glycans that has been developing the tools for decades now to look at glycans in high- throughput and that has by far the World’s largest human glycome dataset in possession. Glycans are an integral part of almost every protein as they module and fine tune their activity.

The necessity of this research becomes obvious when knowing the fact that glycans are directly involved in the pathophysiology of every major disease so Nikolina and the team decided to commercialize the accumulated knowledge and simply make it available. The first product of many, the GlycanAge test, tells users really something about their lifestyle, the choice and habit impacts seen on these sugar molecules and the overall implications on their health and biological age with unparallel accuracy. The predictive value of gycan-behavior is paramount as the changes can be seen even decades in advance.
